‘September will always feel like the start of a new year to me – the perfect time for new stationery. This year, I’m delighted to unveil our stationery store and collection in collaboration with the world’s best loved comic strip, Peanuts. So step inside the classic yellow school bus and immerse yourself in the world of Charlie Brown and his gang…’’ – Anya Hindmarch
Our stationery stores are now a September Village Hall highlight – the perfect way to herald a new ‘back to school’ year. This season, our stationery concept was created in collaboration with the legendary comic strip and global phenomenon, Peanuts. We’re delighted to welcome Charles M. Schulz’s much loved gang to the Village – you’ll find their iconic school bus parked up on Pont Street, so hop aboard and discover Charlie Brown’s classroom, complete with blackboard, colourful vintage school desks and pigeon holes, all piled high with collectable, Peanuts-inspired stationery.
The space will launch and play host to our latest stationery collection – a Peanuts capsule featuring Snoopy and Woodstock. Expect leather document holders, pouches and laptop sleeves alongside bookmarks, rulers and pencil case and more, plus a series of I Am A Plastic Bag totes, all in Peanuts’ joyful and recognisable colour palette.
On October 2, 1950, Charles M. Schulz published his first Peanuts comic Strip in seven US newspapers, centring on his hero ‘good ol’ Charlie Brown’. Today, more than 70 years later, Charlie Brown, Snoopy and their cast of friends are known and loved the world over. Beyond the strip, the cast has appeared in numerous books, films, TV shows and stage productions and even collaborated with NASA. For the gang’s legion of global fans, ‘happiness is…’ Peanuts.
